Cardiovascular Surgery
Cardiovascular health is critically important for overall well-being. Heart and vascular diseases are among the leading causes of death worldwide. The cardiovascular system is responsible for delivering blood and oxygen to every cell in the body. A healthy heart and vascular system helps maintain energy levels and reduces the risk of disease. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and stress management are key to supporting cardiovascular health.
Factors such as smoking, hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, obesity, and diabetes increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Family history, age, sex, and lifestyle are additional risk factors.
Accurate diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases is possible with advanced medical imaging and testing. Methods such as ECG, echocardiography (ECHO), and angiography are used to evaluate heart and vessel problems. Physicians determine the correct diagnosis based on symptoms, risk factors, and test results.
Thanks to advances in medical technology, cardiovascular surgery has become less invasive and more effective. Procedures such as coronary artery bypass surgery, angioplasty, and heart valve surgery are used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Cardiovascular health has a major impact on quality of life. Adopting a healthy lifestyle, scheduling regular check-ups, and managing risk factors are essential to maintaining heart and vascular health.
