At Long Beach Medical Center, the procedures we perform aim to protect our patients’ health, diagnose existing conditions, and provide treatment—delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care in line with international standards.

Our Radiology Department plays a major role in diagnosis and is equipped with devices produced using the latest advances in modern medical technology. For certain advanced tests, we may refer our patients to contracted institutions so they can receive the best possible diagnosis and treatment.

INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

In our radiology unit—or at our contracted institutions—interventional radiology procedures can be performed under ultrasound or CT guidance with local or general anesthesia as appropriate. Fine- or core-needle biopsy procedures are performed for various organs (e.g., prostate, liver, breast, thyroid, etc.). For patients scheduled for breast surgery due to a breast mass, preoperative wire localization of lesions under mammography or ultrasound guidance can be performed. In cases where treatment is planned for breast cancer, lesions can be marked with a marker under imaging guidance.
